Day 1 : Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley (~340 KM)
Your 4-day Morocco desert trip from Marrakech to Fes begins with a beautiful drive through the Atlas Mountains. Crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, you’ll enjoy stunning views of dramatic mountains and winding roads.
Our first stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs, known for appearing in movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. You’ll have time to explore its ancient alleys and learn about its history.
We then continue to Ouarzazate for lunch, followed by a visit to the historic Taourirt Kasbah.
In the afternoon, the journey continues through the fragrant Valley of the Roses and charming Berber villages. By evening, we arrive in Boumalne Dades, where you’ll settle into your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2 : Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (~265 KM)
After breakfast, we leave the Dades Valley and continue through beautiful landscapes toward the impressive Todra Gorges. Along the way, we stop to admire panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
In Tinghir, you’ll have time to walk along the river inside Todra Gorge, surrounded by towering rock cliffs that rise dramatically on both sides—one of the most stunning natural sites in Morocco.
After lunch, we continue our journey through Tinjedad, known for its traditional irrigation systems, then pass through the lush Touroug Palm Grove. In Erfoud, we visit a local fossil workshop to learn about the region’s prehistoric heritage.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping along the way to watch a magical sunset.
As night falls, we reach the desert camp, where traditional Berber tents await. Enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by Berber music and storytelling around the campfire under a sky full of stars.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert Adventure ( ~40 KM)
Wake up early to admire a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring the Sahara and experiencing desert life.
We begin with a visit to Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music. Local musicians will welcome you with powerful rhythms and songs rooted in African traditions.
Next, we head off-road to M’Fis, an old village once known for its galena mines. You’ll explore the remains and learn about the miners’ hard lives and the mineral’s traditional uses.
Later, you’ll meet a nomadic family living near the dunes. Inside their Berber tent, enjoy a cup of tea while learning about their daily life and traditions in the desert.
After lunch, return to Merzouga for some relaxation at your riad. In the late afternoon, you may choose an optional quad biking or buggy adventure for sunset views, or simply walk to the dunes and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 4 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Ifrane - Fes ( ~468 KM)
After breakfast, we depart Merzouga and begin our journey toward Fes. We pass again through Erfoud and continue along the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its long palm groves and lush scenery.
As we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, we stop in the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
We then pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. By late afternoon, we arrive in Fes, marking the end of your memorable 4-day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
